A 19th Century blue and white Chinese jar with lid. Flowers are seen amidst other plants near the edge of a precipice under a cloudy moon. A dragonfly and several species of moths flutter around in the negative space on the rear of the jar, framed by a variety of repeating patterns: square geometric spirals, flowering plants, "grape" leaves... Four characters are seen, in blue, under the glaze on the underside. H. 8 1/4 in.(21.2cm) Condition: in good condition only few minor chips on the rim of the lid.
