A white jade 'peach' snuff bottle


1750-1850Well-hollowed, carved as two stacked peaches to resemble a double-gourd, one side undercut and carved in relief with a monkey climbing over the peaches, the other side with leafy and woody stems, the soft-toned white matrix marked with oatmeal-like inclusions.2 5/8in (6.7cm) high
