An Edwardian gem set burgee Dearest bracelet, circa 1902, the flag shaped panels set with rose cut diamonds and calibré cut rubies and sapphires, the flags spelling DEAREST, with the allocated letter inscribed verso, with belcher links between, the clasp tongue with registration number RD504189, 17cm long, 8.8g gross The International Maritime Code of Signals is a system of signals and codes used between vessels to communicate messages of safety and navigation. A code system in place from 1857 to 1900 was updated on 1 January 1901, and then used exclusively after 1 January 1902.
