A William III, Queen Anne or George I silver recusant chalice by John Gibbons (maker's mark only), London early 18th century, the slightly everted rim and bowl interior gilt, a turned and inverted baluster stem, the double domed base engraved with the Crucifixion, 16.2cm (6 3/8in) high, 207g (6.65 oz) John Gibbons entered this mark on 15th April 1700. His sterling standard mark was entered on 2nd March 1724.
