[41st (Welsh later Welch) Regiment of Foot interest] An Edwardian Scottish silver model of a regimental goat mascot by Robert Sawers, Edinburgh 1902, standing wearing the regimental face-plate and silver horn tips, on a grassy base, 11.5cm (4 1/2in) high, 390g (12.6 oz) Provenance: With Gerald Sattin Ltd, London (label beneath) The goat mascot is officially recorded on the 2nd Battallion, The Royal Welsh, ration roll as Gwylim Jenkins, but he is called by his nickname, Taffy.
