A fine Chinese Qing Dynasty gilt bronze cloisonne box with three archers rings. Three archery rings each having different ring size. Consist of two jadeite archers rings, and one gilt bronze cloisonne ring. The jadeite shows finely polished moist milky appearance, with beautiful natural inclusion of lighter tones. Included is a gilt bronze cloisonne trefoil case of colorful fruiting tendrils against turquoise blue ground. The lid is elaborately decorated in cloisonne works of three various fruiting vines and foliage surrounding the centralized Longevity Shou medallion. Cloisonne is enameled metal on which the colors of the design are separated by thin metallic strings. The cells are filled with crushed enamel after which the object is heated until the enamels liquify into the cells. The whole piece is then sanded and polished into a uniform surface. The archer rings rested on a pale-yellow metallic silk wrapped chard cushion trefoil pedestal. The interior covered in fabric is fitted with three pillar that match the inner diameter of the rings. Embossed Qianlong reign mark on base. The composition is sophisticated and the colors are a feast for the eye.
