An unusually long 6 foot/ 72" (182.9cm), post-impressionist, plein air, oil painting of a pond in autumn entitled: "The Last swan on the Lake" by award winning contemporary artist: Ry An with signature, date, & artist's script on reverse, and artist's mark on the front lower-right corner. We see a forest of greens, reds, & yellows reflected in the surface of a lake with a solitary swan gliding towards us. The foreground is comprised of tall, bare, bleached trees and stumps, some obscured by tall grasses and weeds, some partially submerged. Surface texture is evident in most areas (with thicker applications of paint) with the exception of the lightly clouded cerulean sky.
