The flaring body with fluted sides radiating from a slightly recessed center to pointed tips resembling the petals of a chrysanthemum flower, covered overall with an 'ice crackled' pale grayish-purple glazesuffused with dense matrix of fine golden russet crackles, the glaze thinning to dark mushroom color along the rim, the unglazed footring revealing the dark brown buff ware, 6.6 inch wide. Provenance: From the estate of Mrs. Mamie Howe, Long Island, New York, who worked for Parke Bernet Galleries in Hong Kong in the 1960's
