红财神是五姓财神（即红、白、黄、绿、黑财神）之一，属于慈悲莲花部之成就事业部。能满足现世间一切功德福禄，他是大白伞盖菩萨护持坛城的世间护法，救度众生令生福慧，双增金刚福报的护法身。红财神在佛教领域中的多种身份和地位显示着他极高的重要性。此尊呈忿怒相，舒坐于莲座之上，左手持吐宝鼠，右手于胸前持法器，均为其身份标志，代表源源不绝的财富。宝座莲瓣平整精致。
