The rectangular seat has a single wood panel above carved tapering legs joined by shaped apron, and joined to a separately rectangular stretched frame. The inset arms are of stepped scroll-form patterns. The central panel of the three-sectioned arched back is decorated with Chinese jade inlaid, flanked by composite scroll-form carving to either side. The wood is of a rich, brown tone.
