说明
▲释文：余志学之年，留心翰墨，味钟张之馀烈，挹羲献之前规，极虑专精，时逾二纪。有乖入木之术，无间临池之志。观夫悬针垂露之异，奔雷坠石之奇，鸿飞兽骇之资，鸾舞蛇惊之态，绝岸颓峰之势，临危据槁之形。古应芬（1873-1931），字勷勤，亦作湘芹，广东广州人，祖籍广东梅县。与朱执信、汪精卫同赴日本留学。1905年加入中国同盟会，追随孙中山组织中华革命党，历任大本营财政部长、广东省财政厅厅长、大元帅府秘书等职。国民政府成立后任财政部部长、国民政府文官长等。后创办了以他名字命名的高等学府——勷勤大学（即华南师范大学）。
