|据《江苏陶瓷工业志》记载：“友兰等制壶高手，曾为朝廷制作一批精美壶器，于乾隆七年被选入河北承德避暑山庄行宫。”另有乾隆时期邵春元，方世英等诸多名家之作粉彩紫砂壶。早期茗壶，造型大度，比例协调，常不附装任何纹饰，仅仅用器身线条变化，或者泥料来体现器物变化，崇尚“不务研媚而朴雅”。气势磅礴，大环把，粗弯流，压盖，腹鼓，稳重感强。全器做工严谨，发色古雅，壶底刀刻“行吟于月下，士英”。方世英，生卒待考。吴山编着《宜兴紫砂辞典》中著录方世英制“镂雕金钱纽紫砂大壶”，并说依其风格推断，应不晚于清中期。
