款识：三畏斋 潘弌元 |此壶朱泥为胎，壶体似橄榄形，自壶盖延至壶体，圆弧过渡，一气呵成。流把匀称，钮滴亦作小圆珠形，平底内圈足，整器修饰细腻，造工精湛，壶底钢刀刻“三畏斋”，刀法遒劲有力，一气呵成。《论语•季氏》“君子有三畏：畏天命、畏大人、畏圣人之言。小人不知天命而不畏也，狎大人，侮圣人之言。”孔子认为此为君子三畏，在壶底落此款，以此斋号自称，充分体现制壶者亦或是订壶人的高超情怀，寓意丰富，极具自省自律之意。
