|黄玉，玉中之贵者。高濂《遵生八笺·燕闲清赏笺（上）》“玉以甘黄为上，羊脂次之。以黄为中色，且不易得，以白为偏色，时以有之故耳。今人贱黄而贵白，以见少也”、“蒸栗色佳，焦黄为下，甘青色如新柳，近亦无之。”有清一朝，黄色概由皇家独尊，故黄玉之尊宠，尤为甚之。本件玉摆件即以整块上等黄玉雕成，质地细腻温润，淡雅光洁，娇黄可人。整体圆雕，可见一童子卧于大鼓之上，头扬起，前额头宽阔饱满，后脑部浑圆。双手轻放于鼓之上，稚气十足，讨人喜爱。童子雕琢精致细腻，一丝不苟，每个角度、每个线条都经过仔细琢磨，不露刀痕和棱角。其衣饰褶皱感鲜明，眉目清晰，脸部五官雕琢十分细致、写实。
