此壶作乳鼎式样，为经典的文人壶式。壶身通景式构图，留白作茫茫水泊，烟波浩渺，上有大雁掠过，振翅而飞。一侧山石掩映，苔草繁茂，一棵大树矗立冲天，一棵虬曲倾斜。树下凉亭一座，内有高士居内而坐。远处沙洲片片，丘陵连绵。另一侧亦为山间石路，丛林茂密，内有长廊一座，远山隐现。匠人选单色泥质，以笔墨技法为之，构图上近实远虚，层层推进。近处的屋舍及岸边草木用笔坚挺有力，远处的坡岸率性写意，营造出水墨皴擦渲染的效果，将江南山水空蒙之感表现得淋漓尽致。配以原装木盒。
