此件紫泥大碗，以中国传统文化中的“龙”与“寿”为题材，碗口周圈塑数种不同字体的“寿”字为饰，称之为“百寿”，寓福泽长寿之意。碗身以模印法分别贴塑五团腾龙，龙张牙舞爪，将身躯舞成一团，周边满饰祥云，此称之为“团龙”，有攘除灾难，带来吉祥之意。团龙在我国古代是权势、高贵、尊荣的象征，非一般百姓可用。碗底钤”陈觐侯制”四方印。北京故宫博物院亦有同类作品可资比较。
