此玉牌式插屏，用料大气厚重，古朴大方。玉质洁白无瑕，油糯细腻。插屏属双面雕，雕工老辣，打磨细致。雕刻画面生动，故事性强，可见匠人艺术水平极高。插屏正面：朝阳升起，远处小船漂泊在山峦叠嶂的江面，悠然自得。近景两岸树木枝繁叶茂，江中架有一桥。一船夫驾船欲登对面楼宇之门，楼阁属重檐歇山顶式建筑，可见住家是富贵宦达之家。背面：黄昏落日，远处的小船已驶近到大户门前。近处，船夫驾乌篷船驶进弯道，两岸屋舍渐多，树木、怪石、风景怡人，一拄拐杖的老翁从岸边向陆地走去。整个插屏让人有种游历三峡的感觉，十分有趣，鲜活。
