AN UNUSUAL ANTIQUE KURDISH RUG approx: 4ft.5in. x 3ft.5in.(135cm. x 104cm.) The field with three hooked lozenge medallions surrounded by small rosettes and triangles. In linked lozenge rust border between charcoal-black rosette stripes. Unusual rug and perhaps more associated to South Caucasian group. Very slight localised wear to the top pile. Selvages original, with touches of fraying on cord. Ends with short fringes, secured. Woven of wool foundation. In general this rug is in very good usable condition. Attractive.
