A matched pair of George III cast silver candlesticks, by William Cafe, London 1767, and maker's mark mis-struck, London 1776, the detachable shaped square sconces with shells at the angles, the reel shaped capitals later engraved T, the multi knop stems and shaped square bases with shells at the angles, engraved with a crest, 24.5cm (9 3/4in) high, 1338g (43 oz) The crest could be for THOMSON, TOSE or TOSH, all of Scotland.
