边长：9.8cm 重：340g
镜方形，字体特殊，品相甚佳。铭文共 5 行曰：方正而明，万里无尘，水天一色，犀照群伦。最后一行首两字为湖郡，尾部为薛晋矦造。古语中矦同侯。故薛晋矦可以译为薛晋候。薛晋候是清乾隆年间湖州地区有名的铸镜名家。其所鋳之镜内容丰富，或取历代咏镜名篇引伸或作部分改动的诗句，或体现释、道家清净修为的意景和追求。其诗文形式为模仿汉镜四言格式，精巧华美、制式新颖、内涵深远，可作案头精致文房赏玩摆设，也是微型书法陈列，雅致难得，值得关注。
