A bronze mount of a lion modelled in the round, detailed facial features, open mouth with curled tongue, pierced through the lower jaw with remains of ferrous loop, voluminous mane, forelegs below with suspension loop underneath each one; hollow to the underside with remains of ferrous attachment stud. 48 grams, 54mm (2"). Property of a Dutch gentleman; formerly in an old Dutch collection formed in the 1970s. [No Reserve]
