A terracotta altar, square in plan with raised base, projecting upper storey with pointillé floral detailing, lateral faces pierced, obverse with the winged protective demon Pazuzu modelled in the half-round on a geometric field with pointillé detailing. 630 grams, 11.5cm (4 1/2"). From an old Tokyo collection; formerly the property of a Japanese gentleman since the late 1990s. [No Reserve]
