A ceramic jug with cylindrical body, tall tapering neck with lateral handle, the spout formed as stylised animal head with incised detailing, large pouring hole to the rear, short everted spout forming the muzzle, bands of waves to the neck and shoulder; three curved stub legs below. 782 grams, 24.5cm (9 1/2"). Property of a London gentleman; previously with central London gallery; acquired in the 1960s.
