Lambert, Professor of Assyriology at the University of Birmingham, 1970-1993 and accompanied by museum quality impressions comprising: Syria (4), with notes: 'Stamp seal of white stone (limestone), 16 x 19 x 10mm., a scaraboid. Recumbent stag, bird on wing and another item. Syria, c. 800-600 B.C.'; Stamp seal of grey stone (limestone), 16 x 10 x 12mm. The reverse presents a hedgehog in the round. The face shows a crescent with streamers on an elaborate stand. Syria, c. 800-600 B.C.'; 'Stamp seal of pink stone (agate), 18 x 18 x 13mm., a hemispheroid. A person sits on a chair holding up a symbol. Syria, c. 1000-800 B.C.' and 'Stamp seal of fawn stone (jasper), 13 x 16 x 9mm. A scaraboid. Lion, bird on the wing above and moth. Syria, c. 1000-800 B.C.'. Accompanied by a museum-quality impression. 15 grams total, 16-19mm (1/2 - 3/4").
