黄地青花瓷首见于宣德朝景德镇御器厂，其制作过程为先在瓷胎上绘以青花纹饰，施白釉经高温烧造后，再在白釉处加填低温铅黄彩，复入炉经低温焙烧而成。成化、弘治时期烧造量较大。康熙、雍正时沿袭烧制黄地青花，器型更加丰富，在清代官窑青花器中以青花黄彩更为名贵。本品形制端庄大气，黄釉铺地，上饰以缠枝花卉纹，布局疏密有致。青花发色浓郁，黄釉悦目明艳，彩釉搭配协调，给人以温馨素雅之美感。
