玉琮最早出現於距今五千多年以前，蘊有深厚的文化內涵，是用於祭祀的禮器。外方內圓，方代表大地，圓象徵天空，上下貫通，在祭祀時，是溝通天地的法器。本器以青玉磨製而成，生坑、透光強，局部受沁呈黑褐色沁紋及雲片狀質變，細膩具有光澤。琮為矮方柱體，外方內圓，通體素面無紋，下方圓孔口緣有一處出土崩裂痕，通天大圓孔，應為上下對鑽穿透，經修整打磨光華呈束腰狀喇叭孔。相鄰棱角圓滑，雕刻工法簡練古樸，造型簡約大方，線條流暢自然。〔參閱〕西泠印社，2018/7/7，Lot1753，新石器時代玉琮，4.3×6.5×6.5cm，RMB 310,500。
