The original is on display at the Prado Museum in Madrid, and the second copy is at the Hermitage in Saint Petersburg, Russia. It is unclear whether Titian painted other copies, especially versions cropping the Cyrenian figure in the original painting, such as this work.This painting was exhibited at Johns Hopkins University in 1942, and again at the Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church in Richmond, Indiana, during in 1944.
