清 銅鎏金麒麟香爐 The censer is modelled as a qilin with head turned sharply to the side, with mouth agape in roar, with incised mane and tail, the scales on the body richly applied in gilt, the cover finely incorporated into its back. 麒麟乃瑞獸，不傷生靈。同時麒麟也是走獸之主屬土德，被稱為中國的祥瑞神獸，是吉祥神聖的動物之一。麒麟是吉祥神寵，主太平、長壽。本件器物體積碩大，精銅雕造，通體鎏金，品相佳美，金色燦爛。雙目炯炯，神情憨然，毛髮彷彿隨形飄動，姿勢凜然，意態逼真，生動而立體，作迴首狀，鱗甲分明，嶙峋有致。整器造型神駿，線條飽滿流暢，包漿凝厚而不失溫潤，實為上佳之作。
