魏巍（1920年3月6日~2008年8月24日），原名魏鸿杰，笔名红杨树 ，河南郑州人。中国共产党党员，当代诗人、散文作家、小说家。1942年创作的长诗《黎明的风景》因成功地表现了抗日斗争的生活而获晋察冀边区文学艺术界联合会颁发的“鲁迅文艺奖金”。 1951年4月11日在《人民日报》刊登《谁是最可爱的人》在全国引起了广泛影响。1978年，创作完成了抗美援朝题材长篇小说《东方》，于1983年获首届茅盾文学奖1952年与白艾共同创作出版了中篇小说《长空怒风》后，1956年又与钱小惠合作写出了电影小说《红色的风暴》。2008年8月24 日，魏巍因病于北京逝世，享年88岁。
