上师在藏传佛教的修行中占有重要地位。此尊上师坐像呈比丘相，其眉目凝重，双目微睁，神态慈悲寂静。乃经苦修而参透其道者。坐姿挺拔，上身内着僧衣，外披袈裟，衣纹写实自然，袈裟錾刻精美的纹样，做工极为精细。双手结说法印。上师跏趺端坐于单层卡垫之上，整体结构比例均称，形象生动传神，通体鎏金，庄重而耀眼。
