A pair of Queen Anne silver-gilt candlesticks, by Pierre Platel, London 1711, octagonal baluster stems, chased foliate decoration, circular spool shaped capitals, on raised circular bases with chased decoration, engraved with armorials, height 17.2cm, approx. weight 26.5oz. (2) The arms are that of Thomas Thynne 3rd Viscount Weymouth, first Marquess of Bath from 1789, (1735-1825), married Lady Elizabeth Bentinck daughter of 2nd Duke of Portland.
