Height (including plinth) 27 cm. Remarkably naturalistic reproduction of the plumage with meticulous surface detail. Possibly formerly part of a table clock. Comparable, for example, with a South German figurine clock of the period (circa 1580/90) in the form of a parrot in the Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna (inventory no. Kunstkammer, 6862).
