A collection of Taxidermy, all late 19th century, to include a group of three cases of preserved British birds, comprising a barn owl, Tyto alba, with label to rear for H. ANNING, HONITON, the ebonised case 34cm high, 30cm wide, 18cm deep, a tawny owl, Strix aluco, the parcel ebonised case 40cm high, 28cm wide, 13cm deep and pair of Jays, Garrulus glandarius, the canted case 52cm high, 48cm wide, 15cm deep, together with a preserved grey heron, Ardea cinerea, modeled as standing on a naturalistic base, 78cm high Provenance: The collection of the late Professor Michael Jaffé, Clifton Maybank.
