A mixed group of taxidermy, all late 19th/ early 20th century, comprising; a sea turtle carapace, probably a green turtle Chelonia mydas, with a metal hanging bar, 40cm long, 33cm wide, a nine-banded armadillo, Dasypus novemcinctus, comprising preserved head, carapace and tail, approximately 55cm long, a preserved small crocodile or caiman, probably Caiman crocodilus, approximately 70cm long overall, together with two 1930's hoof/pad mounts Provenance: The collection of the late Professor Michael Jaffé, Clifton Maybank Please Note: Dreweatts have applied for a CITES licence in order to offer the sea turtle carapace in this lot for sale.
