A CHINESE DUTCH-DECORATED SAUCER DISH18TH CENTURYOriginally left in the white, later-enamelled in Holland with a Dutch yacht, identifiable by the rig and the lee board, at sail on choppy turquoise waters, flying the Dutch flag with the arms of Amsterdam and further smaller flags from the mainsail and other masts, with two further ships in the distance, the rim with a panelled border of flowers in red, green, black and gilt, 21cm.Provenance: formerly the Helen Espir Collection, no.909, purchased from Jorge Welsh, January 2007.Cf.
