A wooden cuerro vessel with flared mouth, band of carved foliage to the foot below a series of rectangular panels with robed figures; red and other pigment remaining. 331 grams, 14cm (5 1/2"). Property of a Cambridgeshire lady; formerly in the Igor Karmiloff collection (1925-2016), UN economist and author of Flashbacks, Icons of Impermanence, Bloomington, 2009; acquired in the 1950s-early 1990s; accompanied by a 1980s photograph.
