1st century BC-1st century AD. A bronze tongue-shaped horse-mask with raised linear details, recessed nostrils; bar to the reverse. 31.5 grams, 52mm (2"). Property of a West Yorkshire collector; acquired on the UK art market. The mount is superficially almost identical to the 'Stanwick Horse Mask' in the British Museum, lacking only the lateral pierced lugs and being about half the size. Accession no. 1847.0208.82. [No Reserve]
