A gold belt fitting comprising a drum-shaped body hollow to the underside with two fixing loops, granule rim and border with lattice detailing to the outer face, panel with punched heater-shaped motifs and central lozengiform cell with meerschaum(?) insert, granulated loop with ellipsoid suspension ring. 17.36 grams, 38mm (1 1/2"). Property of a European businessman; from his private Belgian collection formed in the 1990s; previously in a North American collection formed in Illinois in the 1980s.
