款识：杨季初 |杨季初：江苏宜兴人。活跃于雍正至干隆（1723-1795）年间，善制菱花壶，与陈汉文齐名。创始紫砂色泥堆绘工艺，为陶艺美术增添专门技法，有一代泥绘大师之誉。杨季初有深厚的文化涵养，深谙绘事六法，兼擅雕塑，其作品取法高古美学意韵，合乎时代精神风貌，一般陶人难望其项背。||说明：此拍品圆口直筒，以宜兴绿泥制成，色调深沉稳重。筒壁用彩泥堆塑山水风景，其间又有楼阁人家，画面线条流畅自如，胜于用笔，实乃绝技。筒底书“杨季初”之名款。这种制法的器物较为少见，故而相当珍贵，是为收藏珍玩的极佳对象。
