Yu FengAn abstract composition. Ink on paper. Dated 1985.12, signed Yu Feng and sealed Gebi guilai (Back from the Gobi desert). Matted, framed and glazed. The artist Yu Feng (1916-2007) worked at the Palace Museum in Beijing in the 1980s and was the director of the Chinese Artists Association. She was married to the well-known calligrapher Huang Miaozi (1913-2012).In its abtract style the present painting differs greatly from heir traditional work. According to Prof. Roger Goepper, former director of the Museum for East Asian Art in Cologne, the artist expresses her enthusiasm for the change in China and the conception of Western art. Sie war mit dem bekannten Kalligraphen Huang Miaozi (1913-2012) verheiratet. Das vorliegende Gemälde unterscheidet sich in seiner abtrakten Ausführung stark von ihren traditionellen Werken. Nach Prof. Roger Goepper, ehemaliger Direktor am Museum für Ostasiatische Kunst in Köln, drückt die Künstlerin mit diesem Bild ihre Begeisterung von der Wende in China und der Konzeption der westlichen Kunst aus.
