狮吼观音在明代为世间供奉的常见造像题材。此尊造像，头戴宝冠，宝冠正中端坐着一尊化佛，为典型的身份标志。菩萨面相方圆端正，双目下俯。游戏坐于狮吼背上，神态安详，显现出观音菩萨慈悲的特点。胸前饰 U 形连珠式璎珞，这是明代造像的惯用装饰手法。坐骑狮吼回首昂望作吼叫状，造型威猛生动。下承仰覆莲花座，莲花瓣饱满且较为规整，覆莲端头饰有卷草纹，颇具永宣造像之遗风。
