笔筒以紫檀为材，选其精料制成。圆筒形，敝口平足，外壁以百宝嵌工艺饰之。梅树盘曲遒劲，花叶饱满，枝叶翻转，有阴阳相背。喜鹊站立枝头，昂首向上。松柏古劲苍茫，竹石饶树伸展，天趣昂然。整器造型端庄，木色深沉，木质紧致，再加之以螺钿、角质、珊瑚、寿山石、等珍贵材料镶嵌而成的画面，极富书卷之气。久经摩玩传承，使笔筒包浆浑厚，历史气息浓郁，不失为一件案头佳作。
