A Chinese ‘One Hundred Deer’ vase (Hu) Of archaistic hu-form, the rounded sides finely painted in underglaze blue with a lively scene of deer, their fur spotted, prancing and gazing amidst a verdant setting of lush grass and towering evergreens in a landscape punctuated with blue rock formations on the handles in the form of stag-heads, the glazed base with an apocryphal blue seal mark of Qianlong. Period: 19th century. Height: 33 cm.
