The porcelain with tall ovoid body, thick, with bulbous lower region, sweeping up into a slender neckline and straight slightly flaring mouth rim, raised with small flat oval base rim, two ribbon handles flanked from neck to the shoulder rim, create majestic handles. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white underglaze base color which contrast against the cobalt blue fine color. The center moon body adorned with lotus flowers blooms interspersed with fresh foliage. The outer medallion decorated with various flowers blooms called The Three Friends of Winter, interspersed with scrolling foliage. Each section banded and enclosed with triple fine blue rings. The neck and the mouth rim decorated with scrolling ruyi, geometric motif and key fret, all banded and enclosed with double fine blue rings. A characteristic heaped and piled effect, the underglaze grayish-blue concentrates in certain areas, bubbling through the surface of the glaze and turning a deep blue-black.
