Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, Yongzheng douqing glazed sgraffito vase. The porcelain shaped into a traditional Meiping form, thick and large vase, with a narrow base, wide body, slender neck easing to form narrow opening, with emerging slight ring line mouth rim, raised on round flat foot base. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in Douqing glaze covered, all reserved in pale green celadon underglaze ground, the green glaze creates a mottled effect around the rim which is likened unto the blushing of human pale white skin. Masterfully covered in an even coat of a pale green glaze which terminates at the base to reveal the pure white underglaze. The deep green glaze creates a mottled effect around the rim which is likened unto the blushing of human skin. The immaculate porcelain body covered with a characteristic silky glaze, amazing crackling effect throughout the underglaze which produces fantastic a smooth textured surface. Meticulous finish sgraffito with flowers blooms interspersed foliage and scrolling interlocking tendril all the surface, and scrolling interlocking ruyi clouds on the upper open lip. The glaze is seamless and gives off a beautiful luster, with the colors maintaining excellent vibrancy. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned. The bottle vase fitted unto a Japanese wooden lidded box.
