Antique Automaton Gypsy Rose, the bisque headed doll with brown glass eyes and painted features, porcelain arms and legs, wearing a cream cotton blouse with a black velvet bolero heightened with sequins and a black skirt with pink overskirt heightened with sequins. She is standing on her tiptoes and when wound she turns and kicks her foot to ring bells around her ankle. Her right arm moves to shake the tambourine and her left to smell the rose. Two keys to her waist one to wind the movement and the other for music, approx 55 cms. Gypsy Rose is supported on a black velvet plinth and housed in a large glazed case.
