整器呈石榴状，通体由纵向凹曲线分为六瓣，口部外卷，形成花瓣状，下接直颈，丰肩鼓腹，其下渐收，圈足外撇，因其形如石榴果实，故而得名石榴尊，为乾隆朝创新的象声陶瓷，石榴象征家族血脉之延续兴旺，故彼时多有烧造。其外壁施窑变釉，釉面晶莹简洁，釉色以红为主，间掺蓝白诸色，变幻奇异，艳丽璀璨。窑变釉的出现本出于偶然，因釉面色彩的斑斓，且多呈现出意想不到的效果，或如灿烂云霞，或如春花秋云，或如大海怒涛，或如万马奔腾，故而自古称之为“窑变”，俗称“窑变无双”，可谓鬼斧神工，巧妙非凡。此拍品整器造型端庄，色泽艳丽，独一无二，其窑变釉形态极美，配以具有美好寓意的器形，可谓相得彰宜，尽善尽美。宫中陈设的榴尊寄托了乾隆帝对多添皇子、皇孙的期盼，Lot 1591-1605为同一藏家珍藏
