A pair of rough made, Chinese, earthenware vases of cylindrical form with steeply angled shoulders supporting the straight necks and flared rims. One vase is painted with cranes standing between large flowers, the other with fish swimming between similar flowers over a patterned band, both with black over a lustrous teal ground with thin and unglazed patches observed. H: 7" (17.8cm) Condition: Areas of rough/ thin glaze with unglazed patches. Restoration is evident in the neck of the crane vase.
