A Vincennes lobed plate (assiette à cordonnet) c.1752, painted in puce camaieu with a reclining putto with arms outstretched towards a bird in flight, after François Boucher, with gilt detailing to the cavetto and rim, blue interlaced Ls mark enclosing a dot, small rim chips, 24.5cm. The assiette à cordonnet shape is first recorded at Vincennes in October 1752 when 242 examples were sold, 64 of them decorated 'à enfants camayeux', like the present plate.
