2nd-1st century BC. A gold plaque with herringbone filigree border and collar to the central cell, applied granule clusters, inset four large jasper cabochons to the arms and central banded agate cabochon; attachment loops to the reverse; mounted on a custom-made stand. 122 grams total, 98mm with stand (4"). Previously in an important private collection; acquired 1983 in Germany and located in London since; thence by descent. The jasper cabochons appear to be re-purposed beads, and have a strong patination.
